Factor Design founder Ian Factor started his creative career in architecture. A desire to design and make contemporary heirloom quality furniture saw Ian graduate from the prestigious Sturt School for Wood in Mittagong and the creation of Factor Design. Clients approach Factor for his high quality, creative and  personalised, hand-crafted bespoke furniture. 

Factor Design has an extensive range of beautiful pieces including a chaise lounge, various tables, modular cabinets,storage units and his aclaimed piece 'Stack of Drawers'.  To explore the entire Factor Design range see the Collection page.

All Factor Design pieces are handmade in his Moss Vale Studio, using modern and traditional cabinetmaking methods. Factor Design prides itself on designing and making heirloom quality furniture.

Sustainability is the cornerstone of Ian Factor's philosophy. This means the Factor Design range is primarily made from certified sustainable timber sources. He creates further interest and contrast by using a  divergent mix of materials including laminex, tiles, aluminium and stainless steel.
